Sewing project

Been sewing today.  This was a very quick project from Pink Penguin.  The top stitching isn't great and I think the lining is a little big for the outer, but it is a very forgiving project.

Look what dropped through my door

Once again the blogging has taken a back seat. It does make a difference though being able to do it on the iPad or on my phone. My Spectrum Noir colorist certificate finally landed on the doorstep last weekend so I am officially official!! I am teaching my first workshop on Saturday which I'm looking forward to. This weekend has been a little scary as the pens have been waiting to clear customs, but I am now reliably informed that they are in the warehouse and will be with me by the weekend. There are just 2 spaces left on this workshop so do get in touch if you would like a space or more information.

I've been card making the last couple of weeks. I had 2 to make for family birthdays and I'm trying to finish off the planning for my class - a term of men's cards - not easy, but we're not too far off now.

Just been watching the Great British Sewing Bee and am totally inspired to get sewing again. I wonder if it's possible to craft a day longer than 24 hours??!!

It seems I can't rotate the photos on here so will have to edit this post a little tomorrow

A day out in Stratford

OK so I know I said I wasn't planning on blogging about anything and everything, but we had a lovely afternoon out in Stratford-Upon-Avon today.  The sun has finally come out so it was the perfect opportunity to get the camera out again, which seems to have been hidden away in the absence of sunlight.  I managed to get a couple of photos of my children that I am really pleased with so had to share.  I feel some scrapbook layouts coming on!!!!!!

Home

Project 'Home' finally finished.  Got round to finally taking some photos of the children today to fit into the largest hole.  House blank is from Indigoblu and used various techniques - UTEE and the Melt Pot for the heart, Diamond Glaze in the bottle top, flowers dipped into the melt pot.  HOME was hand cut from chipboard - a real faff but worth it, I think!

Now for something a little different

A few months back I saw the Slice Fabrique machine on Create and Craft and decided I HAD to have it!  My lovely friend Mary then bought me some cartridges back from the States where they were about a third of the price that I could get them over here, I sourced some T-shirts, raided my mum's material cupboard, and finally, yesterday, I managed to pull everything out and finish this T-shirt from my daughter.  It's not perfect, but I'm pretty pleased with it given a first attempt.

She got a bit fed up after the first photo and wanted to get off and play again!

Late night inspiration

Tonight's midnight craft involves 3 Indigoblu stamps - Ella Bella, crackle and script; Pumice Stone, Wild Honey and Frayed Burlap distress inks, flitter glu and gilding flakes, backed with a bit of Stampin' Up Peach Parfait card.  For a quick project I'm rather pleased; just hope the colours look ok tomorrow as the light is pretty bad here!

Workshop card

Not had much time to be creative today as we have been trying to sort the garage (again) ready to start our extension very soon, and this evening we took the children bowling for an Easter treat, followed by a meal at the local Harvester.  Whilst I'm in the blogging mood I thought I would post a picture of a card that we will be making at a workshop that I am teaching on 27th April entitled Colouring with Spectrum Noir.

I really love these yellow pens as they blend together so easily.  The stamp is Daydream Believer from SWALK 3 (I think!) which is one of my favourites.
